Background

I am proud to have successfully worked with many different companies, from small privately owned ventures to larger corporate wineries. Because of this I can adapt to different scopes and needs, keeping your business on budget and up to date with standard industry practice.

I have crafted a wide a variety of still and sparkling wines for Newton Vineyard owned by LVMH and Conway Family Wines, both in California, as well as family-owned Kluge Estate in Virginia.

Most recently in England, I established the prestigious winery and production facilities at Rathfinny Wine Estate where I was proud to create the first Sussex QWS sparkling wine. If you can, take a tour of the Estate and check out the wines in their amazing tasting room.
Throughout my time in the industry helping to develop these businesses, I realised that sometimes due to the small size at the beginning or financial constraints, or simply personal choice, companies do not hire a business manager or a winemaker right away, or ever. I also noticed that there was not always consistent advice with regard to business, winery development or winemaking. I see huge potential in the wines made in the UK and I feel strongly that my skills can be more widely applied to the sector.
Becoming a producer or  a winemaker is a complex process and I have covered it all. With over two decades building wine businesses from the ground up I will work collaboratively with your viticulture experts, alongside you as your go-to winemaker or as the sounding board for your in-house winemaker. I aim to be there every step of the way.
